Sticky Denver Steaks
This steak is prepared from a single muscle out of the chuck. It is succulent, full of flavour and good value for money. It is cooked simply with a little sweet chilli sauce or mango chutney and served with a yogurt relish.

Ingredients
- 2 lean beef Denver steaks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 shallots or 1 small red onion, peeled and sliced
- 3 tablespoons prepared sweet chilli sauce or mango chutney
- 100ml plain Greek yogurt
- Fresh rocket leaves, to garnish
Method
- Heat the oil in a large non-stick frying or griddle pan. Season the steaks and cook according to your preference with the shallots or onions.
- Before removing the steaks brush each steak with tablespoon of the sweet chilli sauce or mango chutney.
- Meanwhile, combine the remaining sweet chilli sauce or mango chutney with the yogurt.
- Transfer the steaks and onions to a warm plate. Cover with foil and leave to rest for 5-10 minutes.
- Serve the steaks with the yogurt relish, chips, roasted cherry tomatoes and salad leaves.
